Thyroid and diet changes

2025-03-08 07:19:08
My thyroid is around 4.35, few hairs are also turning white. Weight is 63kg and height is 160. What all lifestyle and diet changes should I make to control thyroid. Also vitamin D is less according to reports. Whitening of hairs is due to thyroid or vitamin D? My menstrual cycle is normal there is no such major issues with it, it's on time.

As a dietitian, I believe that managing your thyroid levels (TSH 4.35) necessitates a healthy diet, stress management, and frequent exercise. Include iodine-rich foods such as seaweed, salmon, and dairy, as well as enough selenium and zinc intake. Vitamin D insufficiency can also have an impact on thyroid function, so include vitamin D-rich foods such fortified milk, mushroom, eggs, as well as sun exposure. Low Vitamin D levels and thyroid imbalance can also lead to hair whitening. To maintain a healthy weight and control your thyroid, frequent physical exercise and a well-balanced diet are required. Since your menstrual cycle is normal, concentrate on controlling your thyroid and Vitamin D levels.
