First thing we need to do is find the cause for sensitivity
It may be carious tooth, attrition or abrasion on teeth, gum recession or root exposure, stress on teeth means bruxism or any signs of TMD, extreme hot or cold shock to pulp.
Due to above and many other reasons like microfracture or sinusitis or even nerve issues in advanced conditions may lead to sensitivity.
Even few cases have hyper reactive pulp or nerve..
So find the cause and treat it if it is good to go...
for long term results or if it is worsening then root canal in respective teeth might be helpful.
CT scan usually may find microfractures..
Let your dentist decide what is best for you and your oral health.
