Dear friend, Persistent shoulder pain suggest that there is something injured in your shoulder may be soft tissue, muscle or capsule. Shoulder joint is like maths we can do some clinical tests and find out exactly where is the pain. Most times right advice can relieve your pain completely. Most of my patients recover in couple of weeks.

Most probably it would be sprain, For now what you have to do is:- Give rest to your shoulder, by using arm sling. Hot fomentation( सिकाई) after applying a anti inflammatory gel. Take some NSAIDS and continue for 5 days. If the condition remains same , visit Doctor.
