My husband has suffered from extreme hypertension for years, with his stistolic number rarely under 200, and his distolic number never below 100. A few months ago he started taking blood pressure medicines, none of which are working at all, except Clonodine which seems to work slightly for a few hours. He has had a nuclear stress test which only shows left atrium enlargement. In 2006 he had a car accident and suffered spinal injury and brain injury, could this be related? That's when it started.
