Regarding tetanus vaccine

Today I fell down on the road and bruised my knee.
My last tetanus vaccine (normal tetanus vaccine + immunoglobulin, as prescribed for a dog bite) was taken in October 2024.
Do I need to take tetanus vaccine again today?
I have attached the picture of my bruise
Please let me know.

No need to take tetanus again now. You already had vaccine in Oct 2024 → protection is present.
For simple bruise/abrasion: clean with water, apply antiseptic, keep it clean.

Since your last tetanus shot was within the past 5 years, you won't need another dose today, as you are already protected even if the wound was slightly dirty. Wash the wound thoroughly with clean water and soap to remove all dirt. Apply a mild antiseptic like povidone iodine. watch for swelling, redness, or pus, which may indicate an infection.
