I have been operated for piles twice but still have and suffering from psoriatic Arthritis. I have been guided for takradhara and pottli therapy. Are they good or need any more therapy

Since you have psoriatic arthritis (PsA), the primary goal should be to control the underlying inflammatory disease and prevent progressive joint damage, rather than treating pain alone. Takradhara and Pottali therapy may be used as supportive Ayurvedic therapies for relaxation, stiffness and symptomatic relief, but there is not enough good clinical evidence to consider them a treatment that controls the underlying PsA inflammation. Modern PsA guidance also recognises exercise, physiotherapy and some complementary therapies as supportive measures, while disease-modifying treatment is important when the arthritis is active.
Next Steps
I would first determine which joints are involved, whether there is active swelling/stiffness, skin or nail psoriasis, spinal involvement, enthesitis or dactylitis and whether your PsA is currently controlled by your rheumatologist. From an Ayurvedic perspective, additional therapies such as Abhyanga, Swedana/Pottali, Janu/Pariśeka-type local therapies may be selected according to the predominant symptoms and affected joints, but the exact protocol should be individualised rather than adding multiple Panchakarma procedures routinely. Health Tips
Regular low-impact exercise, stretching and strengthening under appropriate guidance can help maintain joint mobility, muscle strength and function. Walking, swimming, cycling and appropriately modified yoga are generally useful options. Maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding smoking are also beneficial in PsA. During an active painful flare, avoid aggressive massage or very vigorous Pottali therapy over acutely swollen joints. If you tell me your age, which joints are affected, whether you currently have psoriasis, morning stiffness duration, and what treatment you are presently taking for PsA, I can suggest how Takradhara and Pottali could be positioned within an Ayurvedic treatment plan. Thank you

Takradhara and Pottali therapy may provide symptomatic relief for pain, stiffness and relaxation, but they should be considered supportive therapies rather than a replacement for proper Psoriatic Arthritis treatment. Since PsA can cause progressive joint damage, regular rheumatology follow-up and appropriate disease-modifying treatment are important. Please consult me with your current reports and medicines so I can assess whether these therapies are suitable and suggest an integrated plan.
