Protein supplement

My mother is diabetic with 45 yrs.Can she take any protein supplement, if she is diabetic, if yes.. Which?? She also doesn't put on weight, her weight is approx 45 kg so protein supplement will not hamper her sugar level and weight??

Hi need more details about your mother... 1.What is the current blood glucose level 2. Daily routine 3. Activity level 4. Dietary habits Also need to analyse how much protein in a day she needs, as per her weight and current dietary habits... This can be done, and this will be a customised diet plan based on patient specific requirements... I can recommend Nestle's Resource Diabetic protein supplement...
