First of all why do you need to take protein powders when the requirements can be met with natural foods ?
There are very good sources of proteins like eggs , fish , chicken if you are a non vegetarian and Sprouts, soy products, tofu, paneer, lentils etc if you are a vegetarian.
Protein requirements also depends on the type of lifestyle you live.
Taking unnecessary protein powders is not advisable.
