Protein Powder for protein intake

Hi Doctor, To meet my protein requirements, I am thinking to take protein powder like My protein (it's a whey protein), is it safe to consume protein powder for fat loss and daily protein intake? Please let me know!

First of all why do you need to take protein powders when the requirements can be met with natural foods ? There are very good sources of proteins like eggs , fish , chicken if you are a non vegetarian and Sprouts, soy products, tofu, paneer, lentils etc if you are a vegetarian. Protein requirements also depends on the type of lifestyle you live. Taking unnecessary protein powders is not advisable.

WPC OR WPI should be taken regularly when one is on weight training not always. Regular protein intake that is 1 gm / kg body Weight should be maintained below 60 yrs from dietary protein like dal, sprouts, green pea, nuts paneer milk, curd cheese etc

Taking supplements can be harmful in the long run. Consuming whey protein can lead to acidity and constipation. You can complete your nutrient requirements with a proper balanced diet. Include protein rich sources like milk and dairy products, eggs, whole grains and cereals in your diet. But best part is if you can get your constitution done and go accordingly as every person has different body temperament and bodily analysis.
