I have pfm crown for molar,I want to get cervical spine mri done

Person at mri centre said that the machine is not implant friendly

PFM crowns are generally considered safe for MRI ,only the metal part can interfere with the magnetic field and cause artifacts or distortion of image if in near vicinity, the amount of which depends on which metal is used in the crown.

Porcelain fused metal crowns will not have much problem but due to the metal in the crown the image distortion may happen if the MRI is done in head and neck region. Studies say slight discomfort may happen to the patient in that tooth region
