The symptoms you describe pain during urination along with increased frequency of passing urine are most commonly seen in a urinary tract infection (UTI).
Next Steps
Drink plenty of water. Get a Urine Routine/Microscopy and Urine Culture test done. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Avoid holding urine for long periods.
Health Tips
If you develop fever, lower abdominal pain, back pain, blood in urine, or worsening symptoms, consult a physician/paediatrician promptly for evaluation and treatment.

Pain at the tip of the urethra while urinating along with increased frequency is a classic presentation of either a urinary tract infection (UTI) or urethritis — inflammation of the urethra caused by bacterial or other infection. While a UTI is the most common cause, urethritis due to other infections is also possible, especially when the pain is specifically felt at the urethral tip. This needs to be properly evaluated and treated promptly, as untreated urinary infections can spread upward to the kidneys.
Next Steps
Please get a urine routine and microscopy test done at the earliest and see a doctor for proper examination and treatment. Drink plenty of water in the meantime. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
