I had a root canal 1 year back, now it started paining again, the pain was unbearable So i consulted the doctor, he took the xray and said there's reinfection and we have to do re root canal While i consulted another doctor in the morning they suggested that the tooth needs to be removed, re root canal won't help Should I get the tooth removed or try re root canal I have no doubts on the experienced doctors but i don't want to lose a tooth and just taking a suggestion

Hi need a smaller X-ray to evaluate better .: but you can always attempt to save the tooth first .. if the infection gets cleared then definitely tooth can stay in ! Prefer the re rct

Need to see clinically also for signs of sinus/abscess formation then we can decide which one is best out of two. But yes Re-rct or extraction followed by implant is definite

Looks like a periapical abscess, the teeth needs to be reopened, then abscess has yo be drained followed by a re rct . The tooth can be saved , no need for extraction.

Hi Always try to preserve the tooth first, you can go for re rct if it doesn’t work then extraction has to be done. Also attach an RVG or IOPA of the tooth for better evaluation.
