Minimal knee effusion

My right knee has small effusion it is not going down even after taking tablets. Got MRI done, it says there is a mild strain in ligament. My concern here is if it mild why the minimal fluid in the knee is not going away after taking tablets for 10days now. Please somebody suggest what could be done to have this completely cured

You have to apply icepack  for  knee15 minutes thrice a day, avoid  weight lift activities

The effusion takes sometime to go. You can apply icepack over it. Take a referral for Physiotherapy from your orthopedic Doctor for proper exercises which will help reduce effusion and will strengthen your muscles.

Ligament sprains usually take minimum of 6 weeks to heal. See a PT close to you, who can use some modalities to address effusion and prescribe exercises for strengthening.
