If the pain persists or worsens, I recommend consulting a orthopedic/msk physiotherapist for a detailed assessment and tailored rehabilitation plan, as hands-on treatments like manual therapy and guided exercises can offer better results.
Next Steps
Strengthening weak or imbalanced muscles (like quadriceps, hamstrings, and hip abductors). Improving flexibility through targeted stretches. Activity Modification to prevent further irritation while healing. Pain management techniques, like taping or cold therapy.

Controlled movement and muscle contractions can help pump fluid out of the injured area. For example, you can try step-ups to build muscle strength in your lower body.
Next Steps
Start by standing in front of a low step or bench and step onto it with one foot, then bring the other foot up to meet it. Step back down and repeat 15 times on each leg.
Health Tips
This exercise strengthens the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes, helping to reduce strain on the knee and alleviate effusion and lately the pain will also eliminate.
