Hi I have a pain in right ankle I have taken MRI scan in that report .visualised distal leg showed :11×8mm sized cyst in intraosseous region of distal tibial, fibula - benign finding. Is there any treatment without surgery?

If there is any pain , better to try pain killers for few days and wait. If pain is recurring then better to go for consultation for looking on other reasons for ur ankle pain. as usually intraosseus cysts are self resolving and incidental findings with no clinical significance. If in doubt of a benign tumour , then go for biopsy before undergoing any treatment.

You can go for Endoscopic aspiration. There will be no stitch in it and the cyst will be absorbed using a needle like instrument.

If not causing symptoms you can leave it as such. Or symptomatic then aspiration of cyst is required and curretage with surgery.
