Knee pain

I have recently started cycling as an exercise due to my increasing weight. I usually cycle in the night as I'm busy during the day. After I have started cycling I'm experiencing certain amount of inability to climb stairs. After climbing 2 -3 floors I'm unable to climb with the speed I use to. It's neither pain nor exhaustion that stops but a different feeling in my knees. Please help

Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).
