Hello there! I hear you. I understand how difficult it must be for you to not understand why you feel anxious and distressed. Since you are dealing with multiple physical and mental health concerns, it would be great if you could consult a mental health professional. Although the description of your concerns suggest irrational thought patterns, it would not be possible to understand the exact problem or its roots without having a lot more information about your concerns. However, a professional psychologist will be able to look at your concerns in detail and formulate a specific treatment plan for you which will help you manage your concerns better. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy also known as CBT is one of the types of therapy that is said to be successful in managing concerns similar to yours. However, you do not have to worry because you have taken the most important step; Reaching out for help when you felt like you needed to do something about it. A lot of people feel reluctant to ask for help and go around in circles living their life in exhaustion. However here are a few steps you can take to help yourself while you figure out your therapy schedule:
Practice Mindfulness : Mindfulness is said to have amazing effects on managing stress and frustrating thoughts. Even ten to fifteen minutes of mindfulness a day is said to make you feel more relaxed because mindfulness helps an individual focus on the present moment rather than worrying about past, present and unlikely events.
Practise simple grounding techniques: When you feel like you are panicking, try to identify five things you can see, smell, taste, touch and feel. This will help to distract you from your thoughts and calm you down.
Reach out for support : Talk to you friends, family and loved ones when you are having a bad day. Sometimes just talking about our concerns, sharing our thoughts and just letting out all our feelings help u calm down. In addition to this venting to your loved ones will help you feel more supported and loved and give you a sense of security and belongingness.
Stay Strong, good things are coming your way!
