History of h pylori

2024-12-13 05:24:10
I've been struggling with hpylori from past 1 year now . I have had my first course of treatment for the same . But after few weeks i was still having symptoms like diarrhoea and nausea. Now im in 2nd course of treatment. But during the end of my treatment i still at times feel nauseous when i have something spicy , or something heavy like chole and channa . When will i be able to eat everything without feeling such symptoms.

It may take a while,to resume normal eating habits following the completion of hpylori therapy. You could repeat the urea breath test or stool antigen test to confirm the eradication .Along with your present medicines try pro kinetics like tablet itopride twice daily for a few weeks to relieve nausea.

1. Confirm H. pylori Eradication: Get a urea breath test or stool antigen test after treatment. 2. Heal Your Stomach: Continue PPIs and avoid spicy, fatty, or acidic foods for 1–3 months. Eat bland, light meals like rice, oats, and curd 3. Manage Symptoms: Use antacids or prokinetics for nausea if needed. 4. Reintroduce Foods Gradually: Once symptom-free for weeks, slowly add heavier or spicy foods. 5. Address Post-Infectious IBS: If diarrhea persists, try a low-FODMAP diet and probiotics. 6. Consult Gastroenterologist: If symptoms persist, check for conditions like bile reflux or IBS.
Next Steps
It takes about 1–3 months for full recovery. Be patient, and avoid triggering foods for now
