Hi Jyothi, One study that used fetal echocardiography showed that 33% of all Ventricular septal defects closed in utero i.e., even before the baby is born), 44% of defects spontaneously closed within the first year, and 23% of defects did not close. I would suggest that you meet a pediatric cardiologist and discuss your options. They should be able to guide you best.

Ur baby is having a ventricular septal defect..it is a significantly large defect and at the moment requires follow up with scan to asses both the babies condition and the size of the defect..after delivery it may require correction by surgery
