Fetal echo scan vs Anamoly scan
Is Fetal echo scan mandatory. My Anamoly scan was good . But doctor never told about Fetal echo scan to me . Should I do that

No it is not mandatory for all,if anomaly scan is normal than nothing to worry.

Fetal 2D echo scan is a test which is only done if there is suspicion while anomaly scan is done.

1. pregestational or gestational diabetes Melitus
2. Mother has heart disease
3. Mother on steroids
4. Mother on antiepileptics or anticoagulants or antifolates
Next Steps
If anomaly scan is doubtful we do Fetal ECHO to confirm or refute congenital cardiac defects
