Fetal Echo Test during pregnancy
Hello Doctor,
I am 22 weeks pregnant. I had my Tiffa scan one day back and everything is Normal. But my doctor has suggested for Fetal Echo Test next month.. In Tiffa scan report 'Four chambers view of fetus appear normal' is present. I am worried why my doctor has suggested for Fetal Echo Test. Could you please tell generally doctor's suggest Fetal Echo Test even there are no abnormalities .. Please kindly reply.

If fetal heart is normal. No need of fetal echo but if you have diabetes in pregnancy or previous abortions or if previous baby or any family member had got heart disease better to do.

In Tiffa scan detailed study of heart is not done. It is for screening. Feral echo will do detailed study of heart. In case of high risk pregnancy it is required.
