Fetal echo is a ultrasound scan to look for any developmental abnormality of heart.

fetal echo has to be done from 18 weeks to 22 weeks of pregnancy this helps us to know the function of heart of the baby and also if there is any abnormality in the floor we can find out

Fetal echo done at 24 weeks to detect any congenital cardiac diseases especially in diabetes or previous history of malformed baby

Fetal echo is done to see for normal development of baby’s heart. It can be done between 18-24 weeks. There won’t be any harmful effect of this. It is done using ultrasound machine.
