Hello Human, I can understand that what you’re going through can be difficult. Sometimes due to poor sleep quality, it is possible to feel unrested and sleepy throughout the day. It is common not to feel fresh and rejuvenated. It is definitely something that can be worked on over a period of time.
There can be several reasons why you’re experiencing this. Ensure you do the following basic things:
1. Hydration- set reminders on your phone and drink water! Nothing activates your system, and the functioning of your organs like water does. The summer heat can drain you of energy; try drinking ORS, lemonades, fresh fruit juices etc. all through the day to keep the salts in your body.
2. Exercise- the right amount of exercise can actually help get rid of fatigue and laziness. Try doing basic stretches and cardio just to get your heart rate up. Do it for a duration that suits you, don’t over-exert yourself. Exercise helps with the circulation of blood and oxygen through the body. Yoga is also a great form of exercise. You can use apps and youtube channels to start.
3. Diet- monitor your caffeine intake; eat plenty of seasonal fruits and salads. Avoid oily food or anything you find is heavy on your digestive system.
A good diet and exercise ritual will help you maintain hemoglobin,
sugar, blood pressure, and all other vitals.
If this persists, you can consider approaching a doctor and getting some basic tests done.
All of the above can help ensure that you get quality sleep.
To stay focused on trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, try the following:
1. Keep a journal to record your lifestyle activities: monitor your diet and exercise. You could also use this journal to express any worries you might have.
2. Tie up with a friend and try and follow a healthy lifestyle together (this way, you can both keep a check on each other and stay motivated).
3. Seek therapy - Therapy can help you to explore what can be the possible causes for your sleepiness and figure out healthy ways to manage it.
