Dry mouth problem

2026-07-21 21:50:17
I have had a dry mouth and chronic bad breath for years. I have no other health issues. I can see saliva squirting when tongue cleaning but it seems resting saliva is low. Have constant white tongue. And after eating, food is not washed away properly by saliva. Vegetarian. BMI normal. Vit d was low taken 60k for 6 weeks. Have thick clear nasal mucus and pnd. History of sinus surgery. anxiety (taken prodep 20mg years ago and stopped abruptly) and tiredness. Breatlessness when slight physical exercise. Heart, liver, kidney all healthy. Haemoglobin good. Should I take saliva stimulant medicines?

Your dry mouth is likely from mouth breathing due to PND and sinus issues. White tongue suggests poor saliva flow. Also get TSH checked — thyroid issues can cause dry mouth, tiredness and breathlessness together. Stay well hydrated and try to breathe through nose. Saliva substitutes can help temporarily.
Next Steps
Consult me on Practo for a complete evaluation.
