Today got cholestrol test of my brother and his reading is 216 when acceptable limit is 200. Is there something to worry? What can be done to control it? He is non vegetarian and occasional Smoker. Do he need to change his dietary habits?

Total cholesterol levels include both good cholesterol as well as bad cholesterol. You need to mention levels of each in order to manage the condition through diet.
Next Steps
Increasing fibre in the diet helps in natural excretion of cholesterol from the body. Smoking does have a effect on the lipid profile too. With regards to being a non-vegetarian, lean meats are high in protein and low in fat.
