Hi, Shortness of breath could be due to various reasons and anxiety is one of the reason. You have never mentioned about the frequency of this and other relevant data. So it would be hard to address your questions in a detailed manner. Would recommend not to visit online for such health issues. Its just a medium for sourcing information only.
Next Steps
Visit a psychologist and discuss your issues in detail and take his assistance.
Health Tips
1) Practice breathing exercise (2) Do regular physical exercises

Yes with a shortness of breath it may feel like you can't catch your breath, tightness in your chest, or like you're suffocating or hungry for air. It’s the body’s natural fear response. First of all, getting to the root cause of what is giving you the anxiety can help you take power over it.
Next Steps
Next, I would recommend doing some diaphragmatic or belly breathing. Look this up online and practice this, it will calm you down. Also there are many tools to stimulate your vagus nerve to calm you down.
Health Tips
Please consult a physician or a practitioner if this becomes more intense. All the best.

Hi. It is too early to conclude that your experience is due to anxiety. In this case, online information cannot be the absolute solution. You can start with consulting an ENT doctor and go ahead with their suggestions.

Continue with deep breathing in the morning and before bed regardless of how you're feeling. Take the GAD7 test online and if it shows anxiety, seek help. I think he is seeking attention from you. Schedule in your everyday  calender, a slot to be spent with your son exclusively..And that should become your routine... That might calm him down from his rudeness and it would enhance the bond between you both. You both can get to know each other by being together.. He is going to slip into adolescence.. Better to plant a bind before that.
