Bone pain and leg pain

2024-10-31 18:11:15
Hello I did a blood test recently for vitamin d and b12. My B12 levels are 291 pg/mL and D3 is 19 ng/mL. I am facing shoulder/leg pain and sometimes hips pain as well. Wanted to know if this can be because of above vitamin D level.

Your Vitamin D3 level, at 19 ng/mL, is considered deficient, which can indeed lead to musculoskeletal discomfort, including shoulder, leg, and hip pain. Vitamin D is crucial for bone and muscle health, and low levels can contribute to persistent aches and fatigue. Additionally, your Vitamin B12 level, while in the lower range of normal, could still benefit from optimization, especially if you’re experiencing symptoms. For a personalized approach, consulting an expert like Dietitian Souvik Chakraborty could be highly beneficial. His expertise in clinical nutrition and medical nutrition therapy can guide you in restoring optimal levels through tailored dietary and supplement strategies, addressing deficiencies effectively and promoting holistic well-being.
