2018-10-24 13:00:34
I am 26 years old. My Height & weight is 5.8 , 70 kgs. I am a fitness enthousiast. I am able to meet my daily limits of macronutrients( Protein, Carbs, Fats, Fiber) but my daily intake of micronutrients ( vitamins, minerals, omega 3 fats) is less. My life style doesn't support me to take lots of vegies, fruits in a day. Is it advisable to take becadexamine pills, Cod liver oil pils on a daily basis. If yes, what is the advisable dosage & Is it good to use them daily on a long run. please help me know with a brief explanation & if any good alternatives to these pills. Thanks.

Hello, Daily use is not advisable. A course for 3 months is okay but should shift on natural food sources.

It's better to consume dietory food item ,not supplements, as supplements are the last option to have who has not able to take oral food on daily basis. It's not about spending lots of money in buying supplements, but you can make Customised exercise & Customised diet plan within your limitations, & also gyming is also required to be taken under supervision , you can ask me for Customised diet , Exercise & customised lifestyle via Practo chat. It is always good and more effective to get even your micronutrients through food itself rather than supplements. Research shows again and again that micronutrients taken through foods get absorbed better and also have a low risk of over dosage or toxicity. However, in your case, as you say you are unable to take a lot of fruits and vegetables, you can take multivitamin supplements as per the need. It won’t hurt to take one tablet of becadexamine and cod liver oil pills on a daily basis. It is not harmful even in the long run unless you take more than a few everyday. To be able to absorb these nutrients from the supplements in the best way possible, make sure you take them after a meal, like breakfast or lunch or dinner and also at the same time daily.
