Hi doctor ,
My husband fell down while playing shuttle. He had swelling and we took him to hospital . They did mri scan and said acl tear. When will he recover.i am attaching scan copies

If there is instability then definitely should go for surgery as the report shows an acl tear. Delaying operation will lead to further deterioration of joint.
After surgery the patient can walk full weight bearing. And return to sport activities in around 4-6 months

Hello .
As per the MRI what I can see he has femoral side tear of Acl.
I didn't find any meniscus injury.
I would also be interested in knowing your husbands age, occupation and weight. Would also be helpful to know the report since the images are not very clear
Next Steps
He would require an Acl reconstruction surgery if it's a complete tear but before that would be better to consult and know certain details like how he injured and was there knee swelling after injury.
