Amniotic fluid is on higher side
Amniotic fluid is on higher side in 29 weeks. All tests and scans are normal. No gestational diabetes. Anamoly scan is ok. Doctor advised not to take sugar. Does amniotic fluid really reduce after avoiding sugar intake? Or do I need to take some other precautions?

There is no known method to reduce amniotic fluid. Some medicines have also been recommended but none of them is of any proven value.

If Anomaly Scan is normal then cause may be unknown and nothing to do. Avoiding extra sugar will be beneficial

Share the ultrasound report.most common reason for increased amniotic fluid is idiopathic - no reason . If anomaly scan is normal and sugar test is normal then no need to worry
