AFI level of 20 is very high. Amniotic fluid is in excess when there is some malformation of foetus (like spina bifida, inability of the foetus to swallow ), or diseases of the placenta,  or diseases of the mother (like Diabetes). We have to find the cause. Drinking excess water by the mother is not a cause of hydramnios. Please consult with a Gynaecologist in your area or with a Gynaecologist on Practo. It is a long drawn treatment and may not be effective immediately.
