Hello Doctor, I am in my 36th week of pregnancy and my EDD is 17th of February 2017. My AFI is only 8. Doctor prescribed me L Arginine granules once a day and Astymin forte capsule twice a day. Have been taking these since 20 days plus consuming nearly 3 litres of water everyday but the fluid level hasn't increased. It was 9 ten days back and now it is 8. What should I do now? Is this normal? Should I wait for few more days or take some immediate action?

Amniotic fluid index of 8 at 36 week is ok. Its not serious enough to plan an early delivery.
But on safer side do a doppler test and nst, if these are normal you can wait till date or till labor starts.
Continue the arginine medicine and plan your action in consultation with your gynecologist...by your EDD you can deliver anytime after 24 January......but dont plan anything in haste. If needed take second opinion.

Follow your gynac instructions... U need to do color Doppler test if it is normal.. That means u have time in your hand... And as per your edd though you need to deliver early.. Fetal outcome will be good... So just keep faith and follow your doctor....
Don't worry..Afi not that low..continue prescribed medicines ur taking...Just monitor daily fetal kick count and follow up ur Dr regularly..If required do nst test..Complete ur 37weeks ataleast.ater u can intervene if ur V. anxious ..
