During my USG at 37+3 weeks of pregnancy deepest fluid pocket was 4.2 and USG mentioned adequate fluid. On this basis the doctor asked me to report at 40 th week of pregnancy and then stillbirth ocurred. Fetus was found dead at 40 week USG and Spaulding sign was positive. Now another doctor says that 4.2 fluid was extremely low at 37th week and operation was to be conducted then only. They wrongly mentioned fluid as "ADequate". Is this true? Can legal action be taken against USG centre ?

Total afi is what is required to be found out
If total afi is more than 10 then it was a normal liquor
Also the patient shud hv been counting daily fetal movement count
Spalding sign means the patient was unaware of the fact that the baby was not moving
Also between 37 weeks and 40 weeks what went wrong the dr will not be held responsible
Thinking of taking a legal action will only add to ur stress
Any dr will try to give you the best of opinion in the best of his ability
Hi there is a correction in the the clinical findings which is been described here when there is a spalding sign and there is a dead foetus and then the delivery had happened we call it does intrauterine death and it is not still but still birth is something like the baby is alive till delivery and once the baby delivered it is not alive. Single deep pocket AFI is normal.
I ALSO WANT TO KNOW HOW WAS THE BABY FROM 37 WEEKS ONWARDS TILL 40TH WEEK. HOW WAS THE MOVEMENT OF THE BABY DURING THOSE TIME IT IS VERY IMPORTANT
