I am 27 years old having amploypia in my right eye. And due to this i have developed outward squint in the same eye. I know amploypia can't be corrected at this age. I wanted to know whether my squint can be surgically corrected. If yes, then how much minimum time it will be effective before redeveloping again as i have very less vision in right eye and can only see things and can't read anything.
Also would be good if some squint specialist doctor name is provided in answer. I have attached my eyes pic also

From the picture it appears that you have not only outward but also mild upward deviation of the eye. Of course , I can only confirm after detailed examination in clinic . Surgical correction is certainly possible with excellent cosmetic results . Squint does not recur if properly operated upon. Maskatieyeclinic Opposite Charni Road station East, Mumbai

Hello,
Thank you for uploading your picture for better judgement. Yes your squint correction is possible with excellent cosmetic outcome. Furthermore, 7 out of 10 cases like you with amblyopia maintain straight eyes after surgical correction. Though a detailed squint evaluation is a MUST before any decision on surgery.
