The best is to consult a psychiatrist. The usual procedure that a psychiatrist follows on treating alcoholism is - assessment of general health, administering necessary medication including the ones that will generate temporary aversion for alcohol, mostly as an in-patient in a hospital, counselling / support from family members or social organisations to ensure that the person keeps away from alcohol and also takes medication / follows up with the psychiatrist for upto a year or so.
Hello.. Try to consult in a de addiction centre . There you will get a team of Psychiatrist, clinical psychologist and Counseling Psychologist. You will get the proper help.
Hi... In case of substance abuse/addiction, you may consult a Psychologist. Complete recovery may require undergoing treatment in a De-addiction Centre where a detailed approach (counselling, yoga, exercise, meditation, etc.) is followed. The substance (alcohol, weed, tobacco, other psychedelics) is also washed out of their body in De-addiction Centre.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist and find a good De-addiction Centre.
