Hello 👋 I completely understand how uncomfortable this must feel. Taking 15 doses of Bandy Plus (Albendazole + Ivermectin) and multiple courses of antibiotics within 3 months can significantly disturb your gut microbiome — the healthy bacteria in your intestines. This imbalance can lead to: Loose motions or alternating constipation and diarrhea, Weakness and fatigue due to poor nutrient absorption, Anxiety and irritability — because gut bacteria directly influence brain chemicals (the gut–brain axis). So yes, your symptoms are most likely post-antibiotic gut dysbiosis, not a new infection. However, in some people this prolonged gut sensitivity can develop into IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) if not managed early. You’re already doing the right thing by taking probiotics — but at this stage you also need: A targeted gut repair plan (specific probiotic strains + prebiotic fiber), Vitamin and mineral rebalancing, And a short course of natural gut-soothing medication. Don’t worry — this is completely reversible once your gut flora and nutrient stores are restored. You can message me so I can review your full history and create a customized recovery plan — including exact supplements, meal timing, and stress-lowering strategy. Within 2–3 weeks, most patients start feeling significantly better

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me. I understand your concern. Taking multiple antibiotic courses and medicines like Bandy Plus within a short duration can significantly disturb the gut flora and body’s electrolyte balance. This often causes persistent weakness, anxiety, and loose motions even weeks later a common condition known as post-antibiotic gut imbalance or sometimes IBS-like symptoms. 1. Advices Stop taking any further deworming or antibiotic medicines without medical supervision. Continue probiotics (such as Econorm or Vizylac DS) once or twice daily for at least 2–3 weeks continuously. Take small, frequent meals, rich in curd, banana, rice, and soups. Avoid spicy food, coffee, and processed items temporarily. 2. What to Monitor Frequency of loose motions and your appetite pattern. Any palpitations, dizziness, or new anxiety episodes. Weight loss or persistent fatigue beyond 2–3 weeks. 3. Management You may take an ORS solution or Electral water daily to restore salts. If the weakness and anxiety are significant, short-term vitamin supplementation (especially B-complex + Vitamin D) is beneficial. The gut usually takes 2–4 weeks to completely recover after heavy antibiotic exposure — anxiety often settles as the gut and nutrition normalize. 4. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately If diarrhea becomes frequent or watery. If you feel persistent giddiness, palpitations, or panic episodes. If you are unable to eat or drink adequately for more than 24 hours. Every patient’s recovery timeline differs depending on body weight, hydration, and prior gut health. For complete and faster recovery, it’s best to discuss your exact medicines and dosages so that we can restore balance safely. 👉 You can reach out to me directly for this case, and also connect with me in future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a one-on-one consultation, where you’ll receive: • A personalized treatment plan • Safe medicine adjustments (if required) • Quick follow-ups to track your recovery Take care, wishing you good health. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

IBS can be caused by various factors especially stress and food allergic to u and some other medication too.. It can be managed by - lifestyle changes stress management exercise and mainly good sleep - hydration and taking soluble fiber - keep track of your gut habits like constipation diarrhea bloating etc Red flag signs : 1.
