I am reading about ADHD recently and shockingly I found every symptoms like zoning out, extreme procrastination, constant body movements, problems following multiple instructions are present in me, which I thought was due to anxiety. I took a WHO recommended 6 questions questionnaire and I screened positive for it. I want to know more about it, either get a confirmed diagnosis and thereby proper management or rule it out.
Im unable to understand that, I should meet a psychiatrist or a psychologist. Help

What you’ve described does sound consistent with possible adult ADHD, especially symptoms like zoning out, procrastination, difficulty following instructions, and restlessness. However, it’s important to understand that screening questionnaires (like the WHO ASRS) are only indicative and not diagnostic. Similar symptoms can also occur in anxiety, depression, or stress-related conditions.
For a confirmed diagnosis, a detailed clinical evaluation is required, including history since childhood, functional impairment, and use of structured scales. This is best done by a psychiatrist, as they can both diagnose and guide medical management if needed. A psychologist can help with detailed assessments and therapy, but diagnosis and medication decisions are typically made by a psychiatrist.
The good part is that if this is ADHD, it is very much manageable with the right combination of medication and behavioural strategies. So the next step would be a proper evaluation rather than relying only on online screening.
