My son is 3 year 6 month old and is suffering from cold that is consistent. He feel sick for close to 4 times but the cold was always there. But when we took to the pediatrician he suggested to go for xray in which Adenoid hypertrophy grade 3 to 4 was detected. He suggested some ryaltris mono spray for 14 days , when I started using this spray he was doing good and there were hardly any signs of cold . But after 7 days the cold is coming back slowly. Report has been attached. Currently he is not having snoring , he doesn't open his mouth while sleeping. The only issue is cold and nose block. Please suggest if this can be resolved with medicines

Hello. You can use sprays for 1 month continuous. Following that get xray nasopharynx repeated.if still adenoid persist go for surgery.
Adenoid hypertrophy will lead to repeated infections, eustachian tube block which can cause fluid in ear, facial abnormalities like crowded teeth etc
If size has regressed significantly in xray..can be controlled with medicines
Next Steps
use nasal spray for 1 months and repeat xray after that

The grade of adenoids and the symptoms are not being correlated . With grade 3-4 , baby should have mouth breathing and snoring . And steroid nasal spray won’t give much of a relief in grade 3-4 adenoids . Pls get re-evaluated for complete signs and symptoms. The treatment which will be given to the child in this age will show lot of impact in his growth , weight , facial features and making him prone to severe allergies and infections .
