Pain and sensivity indicates that there is an infection in the tooth... It may have reached pulp.. So it needs a clinical examination and also an xray to be done... Might be RCT to be done...
Next Steps
visit your dentist and get an xray done..
Health Tips
If need to do RCT then should be done before the condition more deteroiates...

It may b due to 1) Pocket in gingiva where food lodgement occurs, or 2) caries ,3) attrition due to vigorous brushing ,abrasion 4) calculus deposition
Next Steps
1)Apply ketorol DT locally on that tooth
2)use vantej tooth paste as per direction if tooth is attrited from above or abrade from side
3) visit clinic for scaling if bad breath or band of calculus on that tooth
4)Senquel AD mouth rinse
these are temporary relief.. need to find exact cause
The scenario seems that your tooth needs RCT. Please don't try for home remedies, that makes treatment difficult. You might end up injuring the gums.
Next Steps
Please visit the dentist as early as possible, before the tooth fractures ( after which RCT will be impossible), save the tooth. You need to take an IOPA ray before the procedures .
Health Tips
Avoid hot water gargle this increase your intensity of pain leading to swelling.
Hope this helps you.
Pain and sensitivity suggests infection in tooth. There is a possibility that the infection has reached the pulp for which RCT needs to be done. Medicines would be a temporary solution. Its better to give medicines after clinical examination.
Next Steps
Kindly visit dentist for clinical examination and x ray.
