If there is a complete acl tear which is causing you instability or locking episodes then in that situation it is necessary to do a physeal sparing acl reconstruction surgery where we don't cross the growth plate at all.
If the tear is only partial then we do only physiotherapy.
Considering your age it is suggested you go for physiotherapy first and then stabilize your knee first before you start playing any sports.
As you are only 15 it will be advisable to undergo surgery some time later as you are having a biomechanically altered knee..
