My brother got injured in his right knee and MRI was performed as per doctors suggestion.Report shown that he is having a grade 2 ACL tear. Our doctor suggested surgery might be required.
Could you please let me know whether we have any other way to get it cured without surgery?

Great you wipe the date also from report.
How old is the injury.?
If it's fresh you can wait for 4 week's try good physiotherpy excersies to build quadricep hamstring and hip muscle strong.
(Physiotherpy does not mean visiting physiotherpy for one session in day and your free .it has to be done one time at physio centre and other time like 4 times /day at home . So in total 5times in a day. It should happen to build your muscle strong)
U need proper clinical examination is it significant tear .mri show many things .
What we find clinically we see on mri films not report. And get diagnosis confirm.
Next Steps
go for physiotherpy
visit ortho for detailed clinical examination a knee arthroscopy surgeon.
ACTUALLY PROTOCOL IS WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR 2 WEEKS FOLLOWING TRAUMATIC ACL TEAR...THEN ARTHROSCOPY ACL RECONSTRUCTION
U NEED TO CONSULT WITH ME DIRECTLY THROUGH PRACTO FOR COMPLETE DISCUSSION ON THIS .....!
