ACL active brace
I tore my ACL 2 years ago and underwent surgery to have it repaired. Recently after playing a game of soccer I noticed later that night that my knee was slightly swollen and stiff, however I retained my full range of motion and had no pain when walking. After a few days swelling went down and now it feels back to normal. That was a roundabout way of explaining that I want to buy an active brace to prevent re-injury. Where do I go to get a brace that will work? Also brand names would be helpful.

Hi. See I personally feel you should not apply brace if your knee is doing well because it will weaken your quadriceps muscles which will in turn affect your sporting activity. If your Acl is retorn then no matter which brace you apply you will get symptoms back.
Next Steps
You should focus now on strengthening your quadriceps and hamstring which you did during your rehabilitation time of Acl reconstruction
Health Tips
If you again have any instability symptoms while turning or running then consider consulting your doctor to see if your Acl ligament is fine Regards Dr Sachin Jain Arthroscopic surgeon and Sports medicine expert, Jaipur Team India doctor for commonwealth games 2018
