I had EMG NCV test with a open needle in 2009..As the needle was not packed ??.it was open needle..I ask the Technician about the needle, He said that needle is fully sterilized. It comes in bunches. Already, the incident happened more than 12yrs ago...my queries are... .I am afraid about blood borne diseases..HIV, HEPATITIS .As I have completed more than 12yrs ...1.. I am healthy & having no complications..But ofteny I worry about HIV & HEPATITIS diseases as the needle was not packed?? It was a open needle !! 1..Is there any possibilities of HIV OR HEPATITIS B OR C from the pre-mentioned needle pricked injury during my NCV & EMG tests after completion of 12yrs...please reply me Respected Doctors, Thanks !!

I don't know how many times you would have had pin pricks in the last 12 years and you might have indulged in some other vices too. So why suddenly after 12 years you thought that you should blame that needle which was used 12 years earlier by some one about whom you don't even know whether he is alive or not. Please be more realistic.
