About tooth cap fitting
My mother has problem with one tooth from 23 yrs and it is painful sometimes but the pain gets worse often. One dentist suggested removal of that tooth and fitting a cap. So I would like to know the difference between Metel and ceramic cap. Plus which one is durable and also the average cost of it.

I would suggest ceramic cap is always better than metal cap , because ceramic is tooth coloured cap where as metal cap is not a tooth coloured cap . Average costs depends on which lab the dentist gives and vary frm clinic to clinic. Pls take your mother for the treatment as soon as possible because as u have said she has a problem from 23 years and still suffering so that she can have a beautiful smile soon :)
Next Steps
Need to visit nearby dentist as soon as possible since she is suffering frm 23 years
Health Tips

Main difference is appearance of teeth. Function wise they all are almost same. Cost varies from place to place. In my area it is 3k per cap for metal ceramic and 6k per cap for full ceramic
