Need to check clinically first because that tooth could be saved. It can be removed with minimal pain under antibiotic coverage of course under anesthesia.

Yes you can go for extraction of it, if it is in very bad state. otherwise RCT  would be the  best option. for either of the procedures anethesia is mandatory. after anethesia is given you will not feel the pain at all. local anesthesia will not have any side effects. good luck with your treatment

Any treatment with the modern techniques will be absolutely painless. We cannot perform procedures like extraction without anaesthesia and it is not an optional protocol. Local anaesthesia will have to be given Before any such procedure otherwise it will never be painless. Your description is not precise enough to understand which tooth are you talking about, the current condition of damage to the tooth and the options of restorability in the tooth. So any rational opinion about the duration of the treatment and treatment cost cannot be provided. The dentist who performs a proper clinical examination and observes the X-ray of that tooth will be a better judge to solve these queries. Regards.
