There are window periods according to exposure. you might need to perform 2-3 tests to clarify your concern. Yes need to be tested , but suppose u have used protection then chances are minimal but although you should test further for exclide chnaces and for safety reason .you should start post exposure prophylaxis immediately within 72 hours to avoid any risks
