5the metatarsal surgery
I had a 5th metatarsal Jones fracture, underwent a surgery and the doc put a screw to hold it together. I removed the cast after 18 days as advised by the doctor. It's been one week since I removed the cast but my foot still swells up when it is not elevated. Pls let me know how long till the swelling keeps on reoccurring and what do I do to reduce it. Also, how long till I start bearing partial weight on my foot?

Even with a screw.insterted, do not walk overnighted foot till 3 weeks.
Even then walk with a synthetic splint or aircast on till 6weeks.
