5th metatrasal bone fracture
I have 5 th metatrasal bone fracture. My doctor suggested me to have a cast for 4 week. After 3.5 week due to itching and frustation I cut my plaster. I am  comfortable in walking with mild pain  at fracture area zone . Should I go and have a new plaster or continue to put bandage at area . Suggest me.

Solution depends on union of bone.. Usual time taken for the union is 4-6 weeks (depends on person to person) This will be decided only after seeing your xrays, whether there is union or not. As per union and your pain tolerance How much weight bearing can be done on your foot will be decided Initially partial later full weight bearing can be done Share your xrays for a detailed opinion
Next Steps
Avoid weight bearing
