My baby female and 45 days old, she born at afternoon .She is normal during day time but as soon as clock ticks 6pm she starts crying a lot and after every 15-20 mins of feed she asks again this continues till 12 to1 am . Birth weight is 2.8 and now after 45 days her weight is 3.4 kg.
Doctor has advised to take Similac total formula milk but I'm hesitating to that .Doctor said she cries since mother don't have enough milk .Mother takes Galact and Lactare both during morning and night . Is this a phenomenon which will fade on coming days or this is a sign that baby is not having enough milk and needs supplement .

Crying due to colic is very common at this age. Have you given colic medicines and probiotics ? Weight gain is ok. So no need to start formula just now. Please visit a lactation consultant. They can assess how much milk is flowing and other solutions

Try supplementing with formula and see.
Babies at this age cry due to colic pain as well. Give adequate burp and tummy time. If baby cries even after supplementing with formula, take a consult to know if it’s colic pain and appropriate medicine shall be given.
