Hello there! I understand how difficult it can be to deal with anxiety attacks. Let me tell you that you have taken the right step reaching out for help. The best thing you can do is to consult a Psychologist. Since it has happened more than once in the last five months, it might really help you if you could consult a professional. A psychologist will be able to come up with a treatment plan for your specific concern. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is commonly called CBT is a form of talk therapy which works wonders for anxiety. It will help you replace unhealthy thought patterns with healthy ones and help you manage anxiety a lot better. There are also many other types of therapy. On consulting a psychologist, he/she will be able to guide you from there. However here are some steps you could to manage your anxiety and anxiety attack better: Identify your triggers - Know what triggers your anxiety. Knowing what causes your anxiety spiral will help you manage it better. Leave the situation - If it is a specific situation that triggers your anxiety, leave the situation. Take a walk or listen to some music so that you can come back to the situation once you have calmed down and then do the needful. Practise grounding techniques: One of the easiest and most effective things to do is to identify 5 things you can see, touch, smell, feel and taste. This will help you focus on the present. Visualise yourself in your safe space- Visualising yourself in a place where you feel safe will automatically calm you down and help you manage your anxiety better. Practise mindfulness and meditation- Even ten to fifteen minutes of practising mindfulness a day is said to have had amazing results. The positive effects of mindfulness are truly underrated, so search for a simple mindfulness for anxiety on youtube and try it out! You will see how effective it is for yourself! Hope this answers your question! Stay strong you have got this!

Dear human, thank you for sharing and reaching out. It must have been difficult for you to share this here and I completely understand that you're undergoing a difficult time. Anxiety can be very difficult to handle due to its characteristics like restlessness, being always on edge, and anticipating things that might or might not happen. Some tips to manage your anxiety: 1. Try to identify what specifically triggers your anxiety, like what situations and why it triggers you. You can do this by journalling, writing down your thoughts while you're feeling anxious. This also allows you to have a sense of control over your anxiety and helps to vent/express yourself out. 2. Practice mindfulness - Mindfulness is being present at the moment without interrupting and judging the thought flow and learning to accept as is. This can be practices through small techniques like observing and feeling the objects around you, 5-4-3-2-1 technique - take three deep breaths and name five things that you can see, four things that you can hear, three things that you can touch, two things that you can smell and one thing that you can taste. 3. Pause whatever you're doing, and follow 4-7-8 breathing technique, inhale for four seconds, hold your breath for seven seconds and exhale for eight seconds. 4. Seek therapy/reach out to professionals - psychologists/therapists of you think things are not working out. If you're not able to find the source of your anxiety, therapy would help you to do it.
