2 Premolars extraction
A dentist extracted two premolars from the lower left side from my son's mouth, when he was 9 years 4 months old. I want to know that when will the new permanent premolars will come. The doctor has put a space maintainer,wit a dental cement, as the gap is very big between his canines an a permanent molar, but it always comes out after every 10 days. The doctor takes Rs500 each time to fix the space maintainer, which is beyond our budget. So I want to know the name of the dental cement and it's composition, so that I can buy it from the pharmacy and give to the doctor to fix the space maintainer.

Hi, According to age it,s already 10. The dentist should take a x ray for proper check. And according to me as a pedodontics no need for space maintainer required now and don't pay 500 rs every visit. If you still have some doubt visit some other dentist

Hello space maintainer is required for permanent premolar erupt in right place. Contact. A trainer can be given it removable. Butkids fixed would be more better. Restrict foods like more sticky chocolate s.and foods which tends to remove the appliance.

The teeth extracted would most likely have been the primary molars and not premolars. The teeth you’re waiting to get erupted are the premolars. Giving a space maintainer is the right thing to do. The usual time of eruption is 10-12 years. As far as buying the cement is concerned, you can’t do it as it’s not available in any pharmacy. Request your dentist to be more careful.
